Wordwraith Books had a table at Kansas City Comicon for the first time last weekend. The experience was beyond amazing. We met so many talented individuals, and also bonded and proved to each other our professionalism and passion for the craft. Thank you to everyone that stopped by our table and checked out our books! Without readers, we can’t succeed. And last weekend was a success! Below is our experience, through pictures.

The setup. With our super official sign on the front of our table. We were smack dab in the middle of the convention center, in aisle 700: Artist Alley.

Here’s our final table set up!

We are excited and ready for the weekend! Our neighbors, Evilorg.org is a hilarious comic written by our Wordwraith, Rod Galindo.

The con was full of cosplayers from all walks of fandom. (A highlight to my weekend was meeting a cosplayed DOUG HEFFERNAN from the show King of Queens. Not many people knew who he was, but I was ecstatic. My husband and I watch repeats of the show all the time!)

What does a writer do while they’re working. Write, naturally! While I was writing, two Jedi’s flew by.

We raffled off a gift basket with lots of goodies to those who joined our Readers mailing list! We also gave away space photos.

Shoot the moon was a big hit for guests passing by and stopping at our table! (And those sitting behind our table *cough*Rod*cough*. This is him excited because HE ACTUALLY WON!)

So many great people stopped by our table to check us out.

We planned to give away delicious, fresh brewed coffee from Parkville Coffee at our table, but our plan was foiled when we discovered that we had to go through Aramark if we wanted food or beverages for guests! So Jeni and I went out to the car and drank the 50 cups ourselves…

After three GREAT, exhausting days- it was already time to clean up.

We all had a great time, and realized this is just the start to future events!

Before I go, here is a last minute photo of a zombie child that stopped by our table. Here she is, eyeballing Rod’s short horror story, The Tutor!
